The idea of the congress concept was to showcase up and coming Internet based technologies useful in the retail sector such as AR, QR, social media and loyalty schemes. These technologies were presented in individual pods, each with a basic retail scenario in white with the items for demonstration in the colour of the specific pod. These pods were to be arranged around a central hospitality space that, initially white, would gradually become covered by a rainforest projection mapped image to demonstrate how much money had been donated to their rainforest charity, something that would happen each time someone used each pod.
